- On-line Coordinator - Diane Deren gave an update on new events that were
not listed in the On-Line Schedule. Since the Deren computer system is
down at the moment, the schedule is not up to date. Also, any one who is
not regularly getting the up-dates (#88 is the last one), should e-mail
Diane at d.deren@att.net and give her
an e-mail address where you can receive the schedule updates and other
information of interest to members. OLD
BUSINESS MUSEUM
- Bud Nelson is still busy establishing a museum in Green Cove, FL. He
needs donations (or items to borrow), as well as help in identifying
various uniforms, aircraft parts, etc. The museum will have an historian,
a gift shop and a FFC Room. Contractors are now working on the 36,000 sq.
ft. building. T-SHIRTS

Bud will get the first order. They will be available in OD or khaki, with
logo on front, back or both. T-shirts should be $8.00 and golf shirts $12.
BILL
FREDERICK AWARD - The committee (Charlie Hildebrant, Charlie & Connie

with him to present it, probably in the Mt. Dora area. NEW
BUSINESS 5"H
ANNUAL MILITARY VEHICLE SHOW & SWAP MEET IN CRESTVIEW, FL will be held
3/27/04. Dick Deren has volunteered to help with the vehicle judging and
needs helpers. ELECTION
OF OFFICERS was held and the present officers were all reelected: Vice
President - Bob Murty; Treasurer - Alan Byers; and Web Site Administrator
- Mark Copeland. BYLAW
CHANGES were approved. The only change was that the Regional Coordinators
are to be appointed by the president, and are not elected positions. REGIONAL
COORDINATOR job was discussed. The person holding this position should
notify the Newsletter editor- Dick Deren, and the On-Line Schedule
Coordinator - Diane Deren, of any events he finds out about. The
coordinator, or someone appointed by him, should act as FFC contact person
for each event. The contact person should contact members in his region
before an event, if they have not already contacted him, and he will be
the person who coordinates the flow of info between the event people and
the club members. Dues
will be due on 1/l/04. An invoice will be sent along with the NOV/DEC
newsletter. FOR
SALE ADS to be placed in the SOUTHERN OUTPOST. Dick Deren asked for input
as to a fair charge for ads submitted by business. One liner ads for the
Supply Depot section of the newsletter are still free. SOUTHERN
OUTPOST - Mark Copeland suggested that there should only be 4 issues per
year, since there are only 4 regional meetings per year, and Dick Deren
has been having difficulty with the work load (not being proficient in
computers.) The membership (who all said how much they looked forward to
each issue), voted against changing from 6 issues to 4 issues. Bob Notman
volunteered to help with the newsletter set-up. After
the meeting was adjourned, member H.A. Parramore invited everyone to his
surplus yard in Mt. Pleasant 6ust up the road apiece according to Russell
Deese) where members toured the 25 acres of military vehicles and parts;
over 50 years of accumulation of goodies. Many treasures were found. Thanks
to Russell Deese and the Panhandle Region for organizing the meeting and
the day's activities. Thanks
to H.A. Paramore for having us over for a look - see after the meeting.
We all had a great time!
